Located at Westfield Queensgate in Lower Hutt, Wellington, the Queensgate Carpark expansion involved the construction of a new double-level parking structure to increase capacity at one of the region’s major shopping centres.
The project required a substantial reinforcing solution for a 1,300 mm thick reinforced concrete raft slab, incorporating approximately 1,500 tonnes of reinforcing steel. The reinforcing steel was fabricated, supplied and delivered to meet the structural requirements of the project and its demanding construction programme.
