Testing and Compliance

Our manufacturer has internal testing laboratories third party accredited by IANZ (International Accreditation New Zealand). IANZ accredits companies to global standards of competence set by International Organisation of Standards (ISO). These competence standards ensure that accredited companies such as our manufacturer can reliably determine the required characteristics of material and products.

The AS/NZS4671:2019 standard requires testing of every batch
of seismic reinforcing mesh to ensure the mechanical properties comply.

Testing Includes:

Weld shear tests
Maximum Tensile Strength (Rm)
Yield Stress (Re)
Uniform Elongation (Agt)

New Zealand Standards:

New Zealand Standards set the requirements for reinforcing steel, welded mesh and their use in concrete construction.

AS/NZS 4671:2019 – Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete:

Specifies material and performance requirements for reinforcing steel bars, wire and welded mesh used in concrete structures.

NZS 3101.1:2006 – Concrete Structures Standard:

Sets requirements for reinforced concrete design, including reinforcement development lengths, anchorage and lap splices.
